Doctor appointment via SMS is a web based software running on PHP server side handles and MYSQL DBMS tool. The software is exactly what the name says. The software was designed to help patients to get an appointment with their doctors via SMS and help doctors to remind their patients about their appointments.

HOW IT WORKS?
CLINICS
1st Step
Clinic management to set the following
1. Name of each doctor available in the clinic and his specialty
2. Doctors working hours and days
3. Mobile phone numbers and email addresses of the concerned people to be reminded about the appointments
4. Reminding messages text or any other messages texts
2nd Step
Software to operate automatically as it was set
PATIENTS
1st Step
Mobile user to send the request of an appointment via SMS to a mobile number or a short code which is linked to the software. The message should contain the specialty of requested doctor, requested date and hour, gender and age.
2nd Step
Once the software receives the message, it will read the request and match it to whatever is available. Then the software will send a reply to the mobile user through SMS. The reply will contain available doctor’s name and doctor’s ID.
3rd Step
The mobile user will select the doctor and reply by writing the ID number of the doctor.
4th Step
Software will confirm the appointment and send to mobile user a confirmation through SMS
5th Step
The software will automatically remind the patient, the doctor and the receptionist about the appointment before one day and one hour from the appointment.
SOFTWARE KEY FEATURES APPOINTMENTS
BOOKING
Through this menu we can book manual appointments. Access is restricted to the Hospital administration or the Reception. Once the department is selected, the program will indicate/display the names and specialty of all the Doctors in that particular department. After selecting the specialty and the doctor, we select the date. Once the date is selected and click the generate time button, the system will generate the available times in the particular Doctor's Schedule. Once the date and time are selected, the user shall press confirm button. Once the appointment details are finalized a new window will appear and ask the user to confirm whether the patient is a new or already registered with the hospital. In case the Patient is new then the user has to submit mandatory fields such as first name, last name, gender, age, mobile no. Once these fields are completed the user can click save and check the appointment from the display screen.
SCHEDULE LIST
This Menu will display the list of appointments (both Manual and SMS). This Menu is restricted to the users of Admin and Reception only.
Display the List of Patients and their related information in each department.
Contain Edit and Delete options and is allowed for the users of Admin and Reception only.
Search by Name, Patient ID, Age wise and Mobile Number
This data is allowed for admin level only. This data contains two sub menus.
SERVICE This sub menu enables the admin to add/edit/delete all service information (all treatment names)
DOCTOR This sub menu can be used to add/edit/delete information related to Doctor such as name, specialty, gender, mobile no, date of birth, email ID, signing in and signing out time. These fields are mandatory.
SEARCH
Searches can be carried out in five categories:
By Department
By Service
By Patient
By Appointment Date
By Appointment Time
The above searches will produce appointment list record page based on categories.
SIMULATOR
The Main Concept of this option is to get an idea about the final SMS as received in the mobile
APPOINTMENT
To show details of a patient’s appointments. It is possible to search/filter/analyze patient data of an appointment.
REQUEST
To show details of receiving request of appointment messages. It is possible to search/filter/analyze receiving data.
REPLY
To show details of system replies messages. It is possible to search/filter/analyze reply data.
GATEWAYS
This option was designed to select and define service SMS gateway. Feature reserved for super-admin level users only.
SUBSCRIBER
To enable the super admin staff to add/edit/delete all subscriber information (Hospital information)
USERS
Super Admin: This level is the level of service provider,
This level gives access to all Menus of each subscriber
Admin: This level is subscriber level
User (receptionist) : This level is under subscriber level. The user should be created by the admin of the subscriber. The user of this level can create appointments, register new patients and edit new services or new doctors
Sub user (Doctor) : This level is under user level. This level was made for doctors to see their appointments (The user of this level can see only his appointments and can edit or create any changes on the recorded information).
